With our big race only a week away, we wanted to fill you in on some important new changes so you don't get left in the dust.

If you want to race in The Thunderdrome! this Saturday June 30th, 2012 at the Dorais Velodrome,  The Deadline is Near! All racers must be registered online before June 27th at 9:00PM!

 (No on-site registrations this year. No exceptions!)

All spectators are automatically entered to win a custom Origin 8 Brutus courtesy of Wheelhouse Detroit!

Due to the awesome generosity of our friends at Wheelhouse Detroit, we'll be giving away one brand new Origin 8 Brutus that's been customized to the nines with new grips, cables, chain, paddles and more. The flat Navy paintjob redefines dope -- and you could be lucky enough to ride it away from the event! All spectators get one free raffle ticket with their entry; more are available for just $5 each or 5 for $20. All proceeds from the raffle go right into the restoration and upkeep of the Dorais Park and Velodrome.

We're working with the likes of Alpinestars, Downtown Ferndale Bike Shop, Sweet Bikes of Canton, Shorts Brewing, Wheelhouse Detroit, Techshop Detroit and more to get all sorts of rad into your paws like this OSCAR by Alpinestars riding jacket given out to the winner of Pro Moped. We'll be lining up a mountain of other prizes to make winning so much sweeter.

BEER!

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here at for Thunderdrome! events: BOOZE! We're partnered up with Camp Casey, a Michigan-based horseback riding program for children with cancer, to raise funds for their organization and Dorais park. Drinking for a cause? We'll raise our glasses to that! Not only are we bringing the brew, but we're officially committed to our Totally Local campaign, which means we'll be serving only locally made craft brew. And on top of that, the spectacularly cool Jacque's Tacos will be on-site slinging delicious all day and night.
