Thawing out slowly + a new shuttle for you.

Thawing out slowly + a new shuttle for you.

Hey there,

It’s Andy, founder of your favorite little bus company. I’m going to start trying something different with The List. We’ve had a heck of a few years together and it just doesn’t feel right pummeling your inbox with simple ads for future events. If there’s anything I learned to appreciate in the last little bit it’s human connection and good storytelling.

I’m writing this email to you with a bit of joy in my heart since it seems that spring is almost here and our bus business is picking back up slowly but surely. With the Omicron-flavor of ‘rona it was particularly painful to open everything back up only to slow it all down again. I’m glad we did as a society, but it was still the ultimately fake-out and therefore a major bummer.

But now that the weather is warming up we’ve seen a massive rise in the number of people reaching out to us for bus services, to ask tour questions about Drunks of Antiquity or our custom tours, and generally breathe life back into our operation. We can’t do this without you — literally. We’re a tiny business so we rely on each and every booking to make payroll, pay our mortgage, and do bus stuff.

I believe 2022 is going to be our year as a community.** I’m predicting we’re going to shrug off this nightmare of the last two years, find new ways to celebrate together, and get back on the road to progress. Also since we’re picking up again we’ll be greatly increasing the number of free rides we’re giving to Detroit kids in need through our Ride for Ride program. That’s why we’re here, really.

A long winded way of saying, “Hello, I hope you’re doing well, I think we are finally.”

I’ll keep these emails infrequent, but if you get a chance email me back and let me know how things are going for you I’d love to read your response.

Thanks for sticking with us.

-Andy Didorosi, Founder of The Detroit Bus Company
