The new low-cost express bus service between Detroit, the suburbs and Detroit Metro Airport

Hello busfolks,  We've been saying that we've been working on an express bus service to the airport for quite some time and - finally - it's here. Welcome to The Detroit Airport Flyer. This is the sort of work that's truly a big deal for a little bus company like ours. We've always worked towards making big changes in the transit scene locally. Sometimes, the massive size of the issue made it feel like it was just too big of a problem to ever solve.  Well, the proof is right here that if you're relentless, focused and too stupid to quit, you can get most anything done. But it's not done yet.  The Detroit Airport Flyer is a partnership between The Detroit Bus Company and The Detroit Department of Transportation. Right now, it's just a pilot project testing the viability of an express bus service between Detroit and the airport. After this pilot project, we'll review the data and work with DDOT to hopefully develop a full scale service for keeps.  We really do need your help. This Wednesday, November 27th and Sunday, December 1st will go down in the record books as a very important pair of days in Detroit's transit history only if we work together to make it happen. If you're flying out or coming into the airport on either of those days, please take our buses to either the Rosa Parks Transit Center in downtown Detroit or to downtown Royal Oak. If you're not, please tell all of your family and friends that are traveling. We'll be running buses from 4:50AM until 11:00PM both days with frequent pickups -- rides are just $12 one way and $22 round trip.  The success of this service means a lot to us and we can't do it without your help. So please, forward this email to your traveling friends, share it on Facebook and make a lot of noise in support of better transit options here in our city.  Let's make this big thing happen.

The Hotline

? It's still happening! The Hotline is our regional express bus service that'll connect Troy, Royal Oak, Ferndale, Midtown and Downtown Detroit together with a 7-day-a-week commuter service. The Detroit Airport Flyer is the partnership that'll hopefully allow The Hotline to continue onward to the airport. More on this soon!
